Sex and marriage with robots? It could happen - Innovation - MSNBC.com

This is a very interesting article, and it always seem funny to me that people can be awarded Ph.D for doing work like this. Hmm, very much like strategy, how can you possibly be wrong by 2050. Who will remember then to go check your work?

OK. Here is my thesis proposal for a Ph.D

I want to build on Dr. Levy work that between contraceptive pills for men, sex with robots and genetically engineered babies. The human institution of marriage will virtually disappear in 3050.

    Order of Service

    Order of Service
This is for those days when I could not get myself to church an order of service for myself to use. I need my God fix, on at least a weekly basis. Most of these are available online - hence you can have cyber church, whenever and wherever you have internet access :)

    2) Hymn
    3) Praise and Worship
    6) The Grace -
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God our Father, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us forever more. Amen.

    Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday is when a lot of people will watch millionaires bash each other the game of football.

    For what?
Games or sport or athletics whatever you want to call it is good for the players because it supposed to be a way of keeping fit and help the physical human condition. Spectator sports, OK lets say I can see the upside of cheering for your community, you school, your city, whatever you have a certain sense of allegiance to, against another school - but need it descend to a state of rivalry simply based on the sport itself? I don't think so.

    Freedom
Given the recent loosing track by the team i support, I am coming to the conclusion that, as a non player these games are actually irrelevant to me, other than self identity, and social discourse.
Identity I can get by watching the game, semi disspassionately when I have time. And for social discourse, ESPN review will do, and this I can catch from a 1/2 hour tivo session.

Well this is it, the end of my fandom! (is that a word?)

    Ode to Fanatism

With the SeaHawks out of the playoffs and Ohio State Football dispatched in the National Championship game, I think it is time I give my interest in sport a deep freeze.

Think of it this way, no matter how much you like a team, and you scream and support, you can't play.

Hence I think one should not take sport out of proportion, it is entertainment. To be mildly enjoyed, and not taken too seriously, the dissappointment is not worth it.

Why get excited about millionaires playing ball, or potential millionaires for that matter. College Football is no better, it is a big business, so what if some dude doesnt make it to the big leagues, it is no skin of my nose.

    Motorcycle Diaries

Motorcycle diaries was a movie that is based on the early formative years of Che Guevara. I like the movie a lot, especially because of the story beneath the surface. The story was one of Che's adventure riding a motorcyle across Argentina, Chile, Peru and Mexico -essentially across the South American continent. Don't quote me on the details of the movie, I suggest you look into it for yourself.
Plot Outline: The dramatization of a motorcycle road trip Che Guevara went on in his youth that showed him his life's calling

For me, I spent most of this past weekend learning how to ride a motorcycle. I am looking forward to the adventure that is bound to come, when I finally own the bike. Stay posted.

    Blastin' Away at Wade's

It is not the first time I have shot a gun. However, it is the first time I have taken a safety lesson.
Last night I spent four hours in a basic handgun safety class. It is not all the time that an entertainment choice like this is worth it, but I can state unequivocally that this experience is worth it.

First it was one full hour of the four basic laws of handgun safety.
    • You must treat all guns as if it is loaded at all times
    • Never point a gun at anything you don't want to see hot or destroyed
    • Keep your finger off the trigger, until the sight is on a target
    • Be aware of your target and what is behind it and around it

After this it was time to learn the basics of markmanship. This is the part I think we skimped on the most, but what the heck, I have shot before. So this is where that previous expereince help me the most.

Finally, it is an awesome experience having a teacher who is a self proclaimed Pyro. We went on the range, and shot the puniest handgun, except for a .345 magnum revolver, everything else feels like a toy. Of course, any of those .22 bullets will kill, therefore you have to treat the gun with respect.

The highlight of the night though is the opportunity to shoot a Smith and Wesson Magnum 500, with a 500 caliber bullet. Absolutely Amazing! enough said :)

    Exploring Western Washington

I can't believe this weekend is coming to an end. What a wonderful weekend S and I spent this weekend exploring western washington. This is really a beautiful state from Olympic National Park to the amazing peaks of the Olympic Mountain Ranges. San Juan Island, Port Angeles and Port Townsend.

There was this picture perfect moment on San Juan Island, where the weather was perfect and the only view on the water was this lonesome sailboat - this is a moment, I will add to my mental picture, so I can go back to that beautiful moment again, again and again.

    Sensory Overload

What a day! This is one of those that is essentially a sensory overload.
First - it was my co-worker surprising everyone that he is getting married this evening, this is was t 11am today!!!

Then it was on to lunch, where I heard about this incredibly Rich guy at Microsoft named Richard. Apparently Richard is a scion of the super rich, his father was the former ambassador of indonesia to the US (so yo can guess where that money comes from) Anyways, the dude is gay, he is an havard MBA, speaks 7 languages fluently, however he is an Admin at Mirosoft. He lives in a $1.7 Mil home, his Mom owns a $37 Mil home 3 houses from Bill Gates'. Well more that this dude makes an interesting story to tell (All of these might not be true -giving someone told me). The most interesting thing for me was: Why do you work - If this guys is so smart being an Admin could not possibly be that challenging and it is not exactly lounging either, remember everyone at MS is smart! and our admin is smarter than most. So why?

I had this debate with a friend, yesterday - where she claimed that the reason for working "to keep yourself challenged and to make a living" what do you think?

After this lunh, I canceled a couple of meetings and drove to Seattle for my co-workers wedding. It was beautiful. We (manager and another co-worker that was there) knew since 11am. However, the fiance's friends only knew since 2pm and this was a 4pm wedding.
OMG! was it a beautiful wedding, especially the part they read thier vows, and the girl started crying and he was too. what a powerful moment.

After this we went for a reception at Ibiza - cool place. But most interesting thing was that I met Dr George Kraft. An older gentelman doctor, who has been practicing medicine for 35 years. We got into an interesting conversation on why work. Essentially, his views was - "work at something you like and you are good at that enable you to survive and also do the things you want to do - e.g travel."
He also made interesting statements, like I could make more money by not working however, I will continue to work and most likely will not retire.
He went to Ohio State, thinks I will like his son ( who he is extremely proud of), chastise me for not having a business card, gave me his. And by gosh I will email him and hope to cultivate him as a friend. Oh by the way one of his college mates - Shadrach Tubman is running for the presidency of Liberia.

As if that is not enough, I got a phone call from a buddy, who after a rauncous relationship, said " I would find the best woman I know, and I will call her up" He did, they are in a relationship and now she is moving to Seattle.

Thinking what an overwhelming day already, No I got a vmail from a friend and college mate who moved to this country about 6 months ago. Apparently in this time he had met a naija woman, started dating her and living with her, got married and she is pregnant ( I dont know in which order)

Least to say, I was shocked - I wish I could spread today's experiences over several days but that is not meant to be. I know I will be processing all of these over the next several days -Watch Out!!!

MS throws a really good party

I usually wait until I get home before, I blog. But yesterday was so much fun that I think I will write about it.
So yesterday at this conference in Minneapolis. And Hootie and Blowfish was playing - I had front row seats and the concert was amazing. And after this there was a fireworks party. Amazing amazing amazing!!!
